RN Armaments Depot, Coulport
At first glance this seems like a picturesque view of Loch Long, however, closer inspection reveales watch towers and buildings. This is where the RN Submarines from Faslane are armed. During the Polaris era it was also used for servicing of the Polaris missiles. Its hard to believe but the RN's Trident missiles actually come from the US Navy's inventory and are therefore not maintained here to save cost. If required though the missiles could be removed and stored here in bunkers on the hill side.
