Looking North East out over Balgray Reservoir. Built in 1846 by the Gorbals Waterworks Company it was apparently the first gravitational scheme built in the UK. Today it still in use as a reservoir and can hold 1,000m gallons of water when full. East Renfrewshire Council have plans to open up the area as a country park.
