Trees today, wood tomorrow
Although Galloway Forest is a great place for walking and Cycling its main purpose is wood production, these trees near Black Loch are 25 years old (I counted the rings) so are now being harvested. But the process will start again with new sapplings being planted in the area in a few years. Map location.
