Greenbank House
The Glasgow baker and merchant Robert Allason built Greenbank house after he aquired the estate in 1763.  He gave it up in 1784 after his business failed and since then it has changed hands many times until 1976 when it was donated to the [url=http://www.nts.org.uk/Property/28/]  National Trust for Scotland.
