Aerofoil, India Tyre Factory, Inchinnan
During the restoration of the India Tyre factory in 2001 a new part was added at the rear. The significance of the aerofoil shape is that this is also the site where Sir William Beardmore establish the British Airship industry and was the birth place in 1918 of the famous R34 Airship. Beardmore's was also responsible for the construction of many aircraft and armaments for the First World War.
