As the population of Neilston expanded the cemetery around the Parish Church became too small, a temporary measure was to use the Cemetery of a Church in Barrhead. Around 1878 the Neilston Cemetery was constructed, just outside Barrhead. This view is of the older part of the cemetery looking towards the Ferenze hills. In 2004/05 the cemetery was once again expanded into an adjacent field.

this is a bit of a morbid thing in a way except that it is nice to look in on where so many of my relations are buried. my ma was buried over in the corner by the wall.It would be nice to see a couple more shots of the place. A wee friend was buried in the new bit4 yrs ago. thanks again for the memory.
