MIG 29 crash, Fairford 1993
On the 24th of July 1993 two Russian MIG-29 aircraft were doing an aerobatic display at the International Air Tatoo when they collided in mid-air during a cross over.  Both pilots ejected safely, one aircraft crashed within the air field and the other a mile or so away.  The black square in this photo shows one pilot on his parachute. Nobody on the ground was hurt.
