Upper Loch Torridon
Looking across Upper Loch Torridon from the western end towards the Ben Damh hills. People first arrived here some 8,000 years ago but most buildings and ruins you see are not more than 200 years old. Many homes were abandoned in 1840 when a change in land ownership took away the fields and hill grazings for sheep farming. The few that stayed eked out a living by the shore.
