Fort George model, Fort George
Fort George was a state of the art design when it was constructed between 1748 and 1769. It is designed with defence in depth in era where artillery had become common. This model at the entrance shows how the angular design gives covering fire to all possible approaches. Unsurprisingly the fort was never attacked and remains a garrison up to the present.
