Bruce reigned as King of Scots from 1306 until 1329.  He was one of Scotland's greatest Kings, leading the country through the wars of independence against England.  His most famous victory against the English being that of Bannockburn in 1314 when his army of 6500 patriots vanquished King Edwards army of 22,000.
