The Satue of Andrew Carnegie, Pittencreiff Park, Dunfermline
Andrew Carnegie was born in Dunfermline in 1835 and emigrated to the US with his parents in 1848.  He formed the Carnegie Steel Company which he sold in 1901 for $480m.  Thereafter he gave away his wealth to good causes including the purchase of the land in 1902 for what is now Pittencreif Park where this statue stands.
