Ruins of The Great Hall, Kildrummy Castle
In 1306 when the castle was under seige the blacksmith in an act of treachory set fire to grain stored here in the Great Hall. The fire spread throughout the castle, forcing the garrison to surrender.  A second seige in 1335 was successfully beaton off.
