The embankment on the right was removed to allow completed fabrications to leave the construction basin. This photo was taken in 1988 after the completion of the Maureen Alpha gravity base. The final job in the yard was the floating munitions dock for Trident at Faslane. The islands of Arran and the Wee Cumbrae are in the background.
