The Italian Chapel, Orkney
Created from two Nissen huts by Italian prisoners of war.  550 Italian prisoners were brought to Orkney in 1942.  200 were based here at camp 60 on what was the uninhabited island of Lamb Holm to build the Churchill barriers to protect the home fleet anchored in Scapa Flow.
