A sea stack on the Island of Hoy. The stack is only a few hundred years old, caused by erosion of a cliff by the sea. It rises to 137m (449ft) and is popular with climbers. You can see some people stand above it to the right which gives an idea of the scale. The stack is visible from the car ferry route between Thurso and Stromness. At some point in the future the stack will likely collapse into the sea. Map location/
