The Iron Bridge, Ironbridge, England, 1994
Open is 1781, it was the first major bridge in the world to be made from cast iron.  Designed by Thomas Pritchard and contructed by Abraham Darby.  The bridge crosses the river Severn and has a span of 30m allowing boats to pass beneath.  In 2008 the bridge and the former industrial area around the Gorge was World Heritage site status by Unesco.
