Rusty Shed, Cnoc Slapin, Skye
This huge shed seems out of place on the remote shores of Loch Slapin, its much larger than any agricultural building. This is what remains of the Marble quarry at the south end of Torrin, it was opened in 1951 and mainly produced agricultural Lime. There is still a Marble quarry at the Broadford side of of Torrin and it remains in use today. . Map location.
