For over 500 years a ferry has operated between Yoker and Renfrew on the river Clyde, this latest vessel replaced a larger car ferry that operated by chains. The distance is only 200m and this boat was designed to carry 50 passengers. In an emergency it is also capable of carrying an Ambulance.
