Donated to Moffat in 1875 by local businessman William Colvin. It was sculpted by William Brodie who also sculpted Greyfriars Bobby in Edinburgh. The Blackface Ram was cast without ears, 'its got nae lugs', was the local comment. In 2004 the Ram and fountain was restored to its former glory at a cost of 50,000 pounds. Map location.
