Robert the Bruce Monument, Glen Trool
A moist mid winter day at Glen Trool.  The monument commemorates the victory of Robert The Bruce over an English force in the Glen in March 1307.  This opened the campaign for independance which was brought to a decisive close at Bannockburn on 24th June 1314.
