Prestwick Airport, August 1965, 8mm colour film

Taken from the public viewing gallery in the terminal building. The SAS aicraft arriving is a Sud Aviation Caravelle, arguably Europe's most successful early jet airliner. Built and designed in France, it pioneered the tail mounted engine configuration seen in later aircraft such as the DC9, BAC1-11 and B727. 280 were produced but none are flying today
