Inside the Fernery, Benmore Botanic Garden
In Victorian times Ferneries were very popular, this one was built in the 1870's by James Duncan, a Greenock sugar refiner, when he acquired the 48 hectare Benmore Estate.  After being a ruin for many years it was fully restored and re-opened to the public in 2009.
