The Forth Bridge
Opened in 1890 and still in use today it carries two railway tracks the 1.5 miles across the River Forth using three massive cantilever structures.  55,000 tons of steel were used in its construction and it cost the lives of 57 workers.  This view is taken from North Queensferry looking south.
