The Gym, Barrhead

The former Barrhead Hotel lay empty for many years and was converted into 'The Gym', but the good people of Barrhead ovbviosuly weren't over keen on exercise and it closed after only a few years. The old Bingo hall next door burnt down and was demolished not long after this photo was taken. After the Gym closed it suffered from the same fate and in 2011 the site lies vacant awaiting development.
