Loch Kishorn
A view of Loch Kishorn and the Kishorn Oil construction yard.  Built in 1975 to support North see oil construction the 600,000 ton concrete Ninian central platform was built here.  At its peak the yard employed 3000 workers who mostly  lived in accommodation on site.  The yard closed in 1987 but there are now plans to put it to use again for the construction of off shore wind turbines.
