Ferguson Ailsa Shipyard, Port Glasgow
The lower Clyde's last remaining shipyard. The ship moored is the Cefas Endeavour which was launched on August 2002 about a month before this photo was taken. Newark Castle is to the right of the yard. This view also shows how narrow the navigation channel is on the Clyde here despite its apparent width as noted by all the sand banks on the far side.
