Cowden Hall Gateway
Cowden Hall was built in 1860 by Robert Orr, the owner of Crofthead Mill. It was an impressive building with servants quarters in the basement, large grounds, tennis courts and a walled garden, These stone gateposts are one of few outward signs that something used to be there.
