Rockwell B-1B Lancer strategic bomber, Fairford, 1993
The B1 is a supersonic variable sweep wing bomber that first entered service in 1985. It was intended to replace the B-52 but its cost and introduction of the cruise missle meant only 100 were built and the B-52 remained in service.
