J W Archer, RNLI Lifeboat, Glasgow Garden Festival This is a 42' Watson Class Lifeboat (ON933) dating from 1956. Exactly why it was on show here at the Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988 I don't know. It used to operate out of Wicklow in the Republic of Ireland. Today it is still in use under private ownership.
