HMS Daring (D32) fitting out at Scotstoun on the Clyde
Taken in May 2006 a few months after being launched at BAE systems yard on the Clyde. HMS Daring (on the left) is the lead ship in a new class of Air Defence Destroyer. At around 8,000 tons she is bigger than any other destroyer or Frigate in service with the RN. The size of the new vessel can be seen compared to the OPV moored along side.
