Cumbernauld town centre
The asthetic appearance of Cumbernauld town centre has suffered from a bad press over the years, it has won the infamous 'Plook on a Plinth' award twice. It has to be said that on a dreich day its got all the appeal of Stalag 13. In its early days the layout of the town was considered to be of a model design but the reality is that it was designed to be car friendly rather than people friendly.
