Looking North over Paisley Gilmour Street Railway station
On the 16th of April 1979 7 people died and 67 were injured at a spot on the right hand side of this scene when a driver passed through a red signal and collided head on with an oncoming train.  The present Gilmour street station dates from around 1883. The river Cart is in the centre of the picture, Wallneuk North Church can be seen on the right hand side.
