Coats Memorial Church

Built in the early 1890's in memory of Thomas Coats. The Coats family of Paisley were the owners of J & P Coats Cotton Mills which was the backbone of industry in Paisley from 1828 well into the 20th century. This impressive piece of Gothic style architecture is just one of the legacies that the Coats family left to the people of Paisley.

Hey ppl. This is my fav building in the world (and i have seen the cathedral in barcelona). The difference is this church was finnished long ago while (even after several hundred years) the Barcelona cathedral is still under construction. As immpressive as it is i just love my town and as much as i moan i couldn't live anywhere else. I'm from the Gallowhill area of the town but my family is predominantly from the Ferguslie park area. I suppose it's slightly ironic i now live more or less in F
