Paisley Museum and Art Gallery and Coats Memorial Church
Both of these impressive buildings were funded by the Coats family, owners of J & P Coats Thread Mill who ran the Fergulsie Mill in Paisley. The Museum was paid for by Sir Peter Coats in 1868 and the Church was erected in memory of Thomas Coats, one of the founders of J & P Coats, and was opened in 1894. Map location.
