Fountain Gardens, Paisley
Paisley's oldest public park, gifted to the Town by Thomas Coats in 1868. The fountain was made by George Smith & Co of Glasgow and stands 8.5 metres high, when working the central jet of water rose another 9 metres into the air. The life size walruses are an unusual feature. The bronze statue of Robert Burns in the back ground was unveiled in 1896.
