A visiting Royal Canadian Airforce Aurora Maritime patrol Aircraft at Lossiemouth. As a result of the 2010 defence cuts the UK scrapped all its Maritime Patrol Aircraft, a strange move for an island nation. As of 2020 Lossiemouth is now home to the RAF's new P8 Poseidon Aircraft. During the 10 year gap with no aircraft some of our friends and allies helped us out with monitoring the sea around the British Isles.
