Balmoral Castle
Balmoral Castle is the private residence of the British Monarch, it is not part of the Crown Estates. The house was first purchased by Queen Victoria in 1848, she and her Husband Albert quickly realised it was too small. The house you see today is what was built to replace the original one and was completed in 1856, the original house was then demolished.
