This is the largest Pictish style Cross-slab stone of its type in Scotland. It stands 6.5m high. It is thought to date from around 650 to 950 AD. The entire stone is now encased in a glass enclosure to protect it from the weather so its difficult to get a good photograph without seeing the glass panels.
