Ruins of Castle Sinclair, Noss Head, Caithness
The main building seen here is the tower house which dates from the late 16th to 17th century. Its construction probably used some fabric from previous buildings. It is made from dark grey Caithness stone with imported red sandstone for the quoins and dressings. A Trust has been set up to conserve and study the castle.
