Built around 1270 by John Comyn, Lord of Badenoch. Although a ruin it is unusual in that it has hardly changed since being built. Its has a classic design of 4 towers joined by curtain walls, this view shows 3 of the towers and the main entrance. The river Lochy runs along the back of the castle and the entrance there would have been a river gate. Map location.
