The MacDonald Monument, Glencoe Village
Erected in 1883 by Mrrs Ellen Burns MacDonald of Glencoe in honour of her fallen ancestors in the massacre of the winter of 1692.  Troops under the command of Captain Robert Campbell of Glen Lyon murdered their MacDonald hosts in retribution for the lateness of the Macdonald Clan Chief swearing an oath the King William III.
