A winter view looking down Loch Shiel
Looking down Loch Shiel from Glenfinnan. The monument commemorates the campaigns of the 1745 rebellion which started here when Prince Charlie came ashore here and first raised the Jacobite stanard not far from the location this photo was taken. Glenfinnan Church can be seen amongst the trees on the left hand side. The trees have a white appearance due to there being snow on the bracnhes.
