The Skye ferry, Kylerhea narrows
If you are visiting Skye and you aren't in hurry, the best way to get there is on the ferry at Glenelg. Its the last manually operated turntable car ferry in Scotland. It can only carry 6 cars and operates between Easter and the middle of October. This crossing has been in use for hundreds of years and pre-dates the old ferry at Kyle of Lochalsh.
