Wall construction at Dun Telve Broch
The best example on mainland Scotland of a Broch is seen here near Glenelg. The walls that remain rise to about 10m but half the building is missing. This gives an opportunity to see the clever double wall design that enables it to be so high but still strong. [url=http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=182965&Y=817245&A=Y&Z=120/] Map location.
