The Great Hall, Stirling Castle
This is the largest Medieval Banqueting Hall in Scotland, it underwent a 35 year restoration program after it had been used as military barracks since around 1810. The final stage of painting it this bright cream colour was the most controversial but this is how it would have looked in the 16th century when it was built. On the right are cannons on the French Spur defences.
