Inverueglas Hydro Power Station, Loch Lomond
Located on the shores of Loch Lomond at Inverueglas Bay this is part of the Loch Sloy Hydro scheme.  A 3km tunnel carries water from Loch Sloy to the valve house you can see at the top of the hill.  4 Turbine sets within the Power station at the end of the Pipes generate 152Mw of peak demand electricity.  Completed in 1950 in a time when designers still had the courage to put in details like this impressive gate.
