St Monan's Parish Church
St Monan was an Irish missionary who lived in a cell near the site of the present church around 832.  The first recognised church dates from 1265 and this was enlarged by King David (1329-71) to the size it is today. In 1646 it became the [url=http://www.stmonanslargowardkirk.org/index.html/] Parish Church [/url] for the Church of Scotland.
