Inside Eaglesham Parish Church
There has probably been a church here since the 5th or 6th century, the name Eaglesham derives from Eaglis, "The Church" and ham, "the small township".  The [url=http://www.eagleshamparishchurch.co.uk/] present building [/url]was designed by Robert Maclachlane and completed in 1790 just as the new planned village of Eaglesham was being built.
