Formakin House, the folly of Paisley businessman John Holmes. He commissioned the building in 1903, but by 1912 he had ran out of money and the house remained empty for many years after. It has now been divided into private flats. The estate grounds are very extensive and include this small loch. In spring time, swaithes of daffodils cover the fields all around the house.
