The Clyde Puffer, Spartan, Scottish Maritime Museum, Irvine
Built by J Hay & Sons of Bowling in 1940 for the Ministry of War Transport as a steam Harbour lighter. Originally named VIC 18, it was converted from Steam to Diesel in 1961 which explains why it is one of the few remaining of the 400 or so that were built to similar designs.
